Access to PebblePad requires an account, which is issued by the institution. The log in process may differ depending on the organisation's IT network set up.
Your PebblePad installation
Each university or college has their own PebblePad installation. Your account is only valid for the institution where it was issued.
To find:
- Select the geographical region of your institution from the login page (opens in new tab).
- Choose your university or college from the dropdown menu.
- Click Choose organisation.
When using a search engine, check it is the correct PebblePad organisation you are accessing.
Log in to PebblePad
The method will depend upon your institution's IT setup. Choose one of the following:
Regular account
Your account is used to directly access PebblePad.
The log in screen will look like this:
To log in:
- Type your username into the text field.
- Type your password into the text field.
- Click Log In to PebblePad.
- Click Forgotten username link beneath the Username field.
- Type your email address into the text field.
- Click Submit.
- Open your email inbox.
- An email from PebblePad will confirm your account’s username
If an email does not arrive to your inbox, check your spam/junk folder, or try another email address if you have multiple accounts.
- Click the Forgotten password link beneath the Password field.
- Type your username into the text field.
- Click the Submit button.
- Open your email inbox.
- An email PebblePad will contain a password reset link.
- Click the link to return to PebblePad in your browser.
- Type, and confirm, a new password in the text fields
- Click the Confirm button
If an email does not arrive to your inbox, check your spam/junk folder.
- Click the Change your password link beneath the Log in to PebblePad button.
- Type your Username into the text field.
- Confirm your current password.
- Type a new password, and retype to confirm
- Click the Confirm button
Single Sign On account
Your institution uses a universal account to give you access to multiple platforms.
The log in screen will look like this:
To log in:
- Select the I have an IT account… (or equivalent) option.
- Click Log in to PebblePad.
- You will be redirected to your institution’s log in page, typically a student portal.
- Enter the details you use for your institutional account.
- When approved, you will be redirected to your PebblePad dashboard.
SSO account details are not stored within PebblePad. To reset or change a password, you need to log in to your Single Sign On service.
VLE / LMS account
Your institution uses a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) or Learning Management System (LMS) to provide you access to PebblePad.
You cannot log in directly to PebblePad.
To log in:
- Log in to your Institution's VLE/LMS with your VLE/LMS account.
- Navigate to a course containing a link to PebblePad.
- Click the PebblePad link to open PebblePad.
VLE/LMS account details are not stored within PebblePad. To reset or change a password, you need to log in to the VLE/LMS.
Examples of a VLE or LMS are Blackboard, Brightspace, Canvas, Moodle, but your institution may use a local rebranded name.
