Create an asset

Assets are the files and documents you keep in PebblePad. They can be uploaded from external drives or created using PebblePad's templates or creative tools.






What is an asset?

 

An asset is a file or document and the collective term for:

 

  • PebblePad files – portfolios, blogs, workbooks or templates
  • Multimedia – images, videos and audio
  • Documents – PDFs, Word, Google Doc
  • Specialist files – video projects, development code, or other extensions

 

All your assets are kept in your private Asset Store.






Create an asset

 

Depending upon the action and activity you are performing, assets can be created by:

You can use one of the creative tools in PebblePad to:

Your Resource Store will contain a selection of items for you to:


 

3. Uploading a file

You can upload a file from your local device.

 

  1. From the burger menu, choose Upload a file.
  2. Select the file from your device.
  3. Add a title, description and tag and click Confirm upload.

An external drive can be connected to PebblePad to access files.
Your institution may restrict certain file extensions from being uploaded.



 



 

Use an asset


An asset created from one of the creative tools, or a template or workbook, can be continuously opened to be worked on and updated.

 


To open:

  1. From the burger menu, go to the Asset Store
  2. Click the asset's title to open.

To close:

  1. Click Save (PebblePad does not autosave).
  2. Click the Pebble+ icon in the navigation bar.

An asset can only be open on one device at a time. Close before switching devices.
