A workspace manager can create and edit the pre-written sentences and paragraphs used by assessors with feedback comments in the submission viewer sidebar.
To access:
- Within the workspace, click Management.
- Click Feedback from the sub menu.
- Click Feedback statements from the page tabs.
At minimum, you will need to be a workspace manager with lead tutor permissions.
Create a statement collection
A statement collection typically covers one topic or area, e.g. language and style, with a series of statements to cover the range of possible phrases; e.g. excellent to poor.
Multiple collections can be added, to cover a series of topics or areas.
To create:
- Click Create collection.
- Type a title into the field.
- Write a statement into the required text areas.
- Click Add another statement if more are required.
- Click Save.
If fewer statements are needed, leave these text areas blank. They will be removed when saved.

Save a statement collection
A feedback statement collection can be saved to your individual account. You do not have to be the original creator of the collection to save it to your profile.
To save:
- Click the File icon in the collection's header.
- Keep or amend the collection title.
- Click Save.
Reuse a statement collection
Once saved to your profile, the collection can be reused by you on any workspace where you are enrolled as a manager.
To reuse:
- Return to a workspace's Management > Feedback statement tab.
- Click Reuse a collection.
- Find the collection and click Select item.
- The collection is added to the workspace.
Edit a statement collection
Any individual statement, or overall collection, can be edited after it has been created.
To edit:
- Click the Pencil icon in the collection's header.
- Make amendments to existing statements, or,
- Click Create statement (top of page) to add another.
- Click Save.
Edits impact future uses of statements only, and will not update existing instances.
Delete a statement collection
If a collection is no longer required for a workspace, it can be removed.
Save the collection to your profile before deleting to retain the option to reuse it on another workspace.
To delete:
- Click the Bin icon in the collection's header.
- Read the warning statement and click OK.
An individual statement can be removed by editing the collection, and clicking the bin icon of the statement.
Deleting a collection or statement will not delete existing instances where used in a feedback comment.
