A technical overview for global administrators of the PebblePad platform, including details of production and test installations, server locations and security.
Production Installation
Each institution (customer) using PebblePad has your own production installation, which is the live version accessed by your users.
It is hosted in your respective geographical region:
A PebblePad installation provides:
- ATLAS - one for the whole organisation
- Pebble+ - one account per user
- PebblePocket
Test installation
In addition to a live production installation, each institution has the option of a Testing and Quality Assurance Server (TAQAS) installation of PebblePad.
TAQAS allows you to trial a dummy environment away from real accounts and live data. Nothing can be shared or synchronised between TAQAS and your production site.
All platform updates to features and functionality are released to TAQAS at least one week before the production server to give administrators the opportunity to view, test and experience changes ahead of the wider user-base.
Anything created on TAQAS must be recreated on your production installation.
