Advanced blocks include the option to add a digital signature, media picker and embed an external service. Adjust the properties to control how they are used.
Digital Signature
A digital signature gives the ability for the content of a page to be verified by another person - particularly someone without a PebblePad account. The block replicates a pen signature and can be signed with a finger (on a touchscreen) or mouse cursor.
The following shared block properties can be adjusted:
- Hints on asset view
- Show empty fields in view
- Duplicate block
Verification
Specify what information the signatory should provide when they sign. More information provides greater security and audit reporting.
- No further information required (signature only)
- I want the signatory to add their name when they sign
- I want the signatory to add their name and email address when they sign.
When email is included, the signatory will be sent a confirmation notification.
Editing the asset
Specify what happens to the page after it has been signed, and whether the learner can make further changes or not.
- I want a warning to be displayed if the user edits the asset
- I want the signature to be blanked if a user edits the asset
- I want the asset locked permanently when a signature is confirmed
When used on a template within a workbook, blanking and locking only affects the individual page, and not the overall workbook.
See the learner's guide to digital signature in PebblePocket.
See the assessor's guide to digital signature reports.
Media Picker
The media picker provides a placeholder requesting the learner to attach one asset to the page.
The following shared block properties can be adjusted:
- Hints on asset view
- Show empty fields in view
- Mandatory for
- Duplicate block
Media picker types
Specify the type of media the learner should attach. It can be one or all of the following options:
- Image
- Video
- Audio
- Document (PDF, doc, text, etc)
Embed
The embed block provides a placeholder for the learner to add a supported external service into the page.
See the learner's guide to supported embed services.
