When a PebblePad assignment is used with a Moodle course, a learner submits to an ATLAS workspace and an assessor accesses the submissions to give feedback.
A workspace manager must first set up a Moodle-linked assignment.
Access assignment
A PebblePad assignment within a Moodle course uses role recognition. This means, when the link is clicked, students are directed towards Pebble+, and Instructors are directed towards ATLAS and into the correct workspace.
To open:
- Log in to Moodle in the usual way with your regular account.
- Navigate to the correct Moodle course.
- Click the PebblePad assignment link on the page.
- ATLAS opens in a new window with the correct submission list displayed.
Assess and feedback
The account permissions from Moodle will be passed into ATLAS (e.g. Instructor to Manager), giving you the ability to use the assessment tools in the usual way:
To assess:
- Filter the submission list and open with Submission Viewer.
- Use the tools to add feedback, add grades and more.
- Manage feedback to release it to learners.
Return to Moodle
When you have completed your assessment session, you can close ATLAS and return to Moodle.
To close:
- Close the tab window with Submission Viewer.
- Close the tab window with the workspace submission list.
- Click the tab window with your Moodle course.
A prompt will alert you to any unsaved changes when closing the browser window.
Grade synchronisation
A grade given to a PebblePad submission in a workspace can be passed over to its linked Moodle course.
To sync:
- Add a grade to the ATLAS submission.
- Release the grade to the learner.
- The grade will pass into Moodle and add to the Grader Report column.
The grade will need to be released in Grader Report for it to be visible to the learner in Moodle.
