A workspace manager can enable and disable capability approvals and amend the statement associated with each approval level to match assessment requirements.
To access:
- Within the workspace, click Management.
- Click Feedback from the sub menu.
- Click Capability settings from the page tabs.
At minimum, you will need to be a workspace manager with lead tutor permissions.
Enable capability approvals
Capability blocks can be used in a custom-built template or custom-built workbook. A learner can use these for self-assessment, and with this option enabled, assessors can provide capability approvals too.
To enable:
- Choose Yes.
- Click Save.
Read the assessor's guide to adding an approval.
Amend capability statements
A capability approval uses a red (negative), amber (neutral), green (positive) scale. The statements associated with each level will be inherited by those set by the region or organisation in ATLAS.
The statement wording can be customised if its use differs at a workspace level.
To change:
- Type the new statements into each text area.
- Click Save.
Manager permissions
Once the setting options have been set, it is important to also update the manager enrolment permissions to ensure each role has access to give feedback approvals.
To edit:
- In the workspace Management tab, click Manager from the sub menu.
- Click Modify permissions.
- Tick Add capability approval for each required role.
- Click Save.
