Use PebblePad with Canvas

Where integrated with Canvas, PebblePad provides learners with the ability to use a range of creative tools, templates and workbooks to complete an assignment.

Access PebblePad with Canvas

When used together, your Canvas account and PebblePad account are linked. Your full name and email address is passed between platforms to identify you and synchronise your work, feedback and grades.

To open PebblePad:

  1. Log in to Canvas with your account details.
  2. Go to the Canvas course page.
  3. Click the PebblePad link (see below) to open PebblePad.

Direct access to PebblePad is only possible when Single Sign-On is enabled. See how to login to PebblePad.

PebblePad assignment link

Where a PebblePad assignment is used with a Canvas assignment on your course, your assessor requests you use PebblePad to complete it. The link displays the:

  • assignment title,
  • description to guide you,
  • button to open PebblePad.

To begin:

When clicked, depending upon the assignment settings, the link will direct you to either:

  1. Pebble+ Dashboard
Navigate to use one of the creative tools, such as a blog or portfolio, or a template or workbook in your Resource Store.

  2. A template or workbook
Complete this specific resource. You may also need to share with ATLAS for assessment later on.

  3. A template or workbook with auto-submit
Complete this specific resource, which is automatically shared to ATLAS to give access to your assessors from the beginning.

PebblePad template link

Separate from the assignment link (above), you can also be provided a link directly to a PebblePad template. This lets you use the structured page, often multiple times, to complete your work and save it to your Asset Store.

If a Canvas course only contains a PebblePad template link, and not a PebblePad assignment link, assets cannot be shared to ATLAS for assessment.
