A comment is an informal conversation attached to a learner's submission, helping give formative advice and support ahead of summative assessment taking place.
Shared with web link
If a learner has shared with the web to make their work visible to you, this will be indicated by the learner needing to send you a link, typically via email.
- You do not need an external account to access.
- You will be able to add comments, but not assess.
To comment:
- Click the link shared with you.
- Click the Comment icon to open the sidebar.
- Type your name in the field (optional).
- Type a comment into the text area.
- Click Save.
Shared with people
If a learner has shared with people to make their work visible to you, a list item will appear on your external dashboard, indicated with Shared.
- You do need an external account to access.
- You will be able to add comments, but not assess.
To comment:
- Log in to your external account.
- Click the link on your external dashboard.
- Click the Comment icon to open the sidebar.
- Type a comment into the text area.
- Click Save.
Shared with external assessor
If a learner has shared with external assessor to make their work visible to you, a list item will appear on your external dashboard, indicated with Assessment.
- You do need an external account to access.
- You will be able to add comments and assessment.
To comment:
- Log in to your external account
- Click the link on your external dashboard
- Click the Comment icon to open the sidebar
- Type a comment into the text area
- Click Save
