External dashboard

The external dashboard is where to see which learners have shared work with your account, and how to open the submission to provide assessment and feedback.

The dashboard

The external dashboard is only available to users who have an external account. It provides a single location to access learners' work and ATLAS workspaces.

As you finish working with certain learners, and begin to work with others, the dashboard links to submissions and workspaces will change.

Direct share

A direct share is when a learner is in control of granting you access to their work. One or multiple learners can share work with your external account concurrently.

The dashboard will show Items that have been shared with you and include:

  • Title of the asset
  • Permission of share
  • Name of learner

To open:

  1. Click the title of the submission.
  2. Use submission viewer to give external assessment.

Permissions

A learner can share work with different permissions attached:

If a learner has incorrectly shared with people for comment, they should follow the guide to share with an external assessor.

ATLAS workspace

A workspace manager, who is a staff member at the institution, is in control of granting you access to learners' work. You can view one or multiple learners' submissions concurrently.

The dashboard will show Workspaces you have access to. If multiple are listed, you should know the name of:

  • the workspace the learner is enrolled
  • the assignment (if multiple are activated)
  • the submission (if multiple are shared)

To open:

  1. Click the workspace title
  2. Choose the assignment from the dropdown list (if multiple available).
  3. Find the learner's work from the submission list.
  4. Click the title to open and give external assessment.

Permissions

A workspace manager sets permissions for external accounts per-workspace, meaning your access to certain assessment tools may differ between workspaces.

For assistance, please contact a workspace manager at the institution.
