To see a submission, your external account must be given access to the work. Depending on the set up, this is controlled by either the learner or ATLAS Manager.

Learner-controlled

Where permitted, a learner can share their work for assessment with your account. 

This process is typically used where:

• The external assessor is not known in advance for an account to be linked by the institution.
• The learner may need to quickly change who can access their work.

To connect:

1. Provide your learner with your full name and (work) email address.
2. The learner follows the share with external assessor process.
3. You will receive an email notification when the work is shared.
4. Login to PebblePad with your external account.
5. A direct link will appear on your external dashboard.

In instances where validation is less rigorous, a learner can also create an external assessor account for you at the same time they share their work. This must be a personal external account, and not a centre-based account.

Manager-controlled

A workspace manger enrols you in a workspace, which in-turn provides you with access to the learner's work once they have shared with ATLAS for assessment. Your account must be set up in advance.

This process is typically used where:

• The external assessor is known in advance for an account to be linked by the institution.
• The learner is not able to change who accesses their work.
• The learner may make multiple submissions to one or more assignments.

To connect:

1. A workspace manager enrols you to the workspace.
2. The learner must share with ATLAS for their work to become visible to you.
3. You will receive an email notification when the work is shared.
4. Login to PebblePad with your external account.
5. A workspace link will appear on your external dashboard.
