Manage ATLAS resources

Resources provide users with blank copies of templates or workbooks to complete learning or assessment in a structured way, or other files for teaching guides.






Resource sharing


Across a PebblePad installation, resources can be made available to users via:


  • Global administration
    A new default template is available to all installation users.

  • ATLAS organisation
    A resource is available to any workspace manager in any region.

  • ATLAS region
    A resource is available to any workspace manager in the same region.

  • ATLAS workspace
    A resource is available to only people enrolled to the workspace.

  • Pebble+ share
    A resource is available directly to the people it is shared with.



Only the owner or co-owner of a resource can choose to make it available to others to use. However, using ATLAS organisations and regions, a resource can also be made available for other workspace managers to use.


To do this, either:

  • the resource is shared with an organisation/region manager as collaborator, so they can upload it to ATLAS.
  • the current resource owner is made an organisation/region manager, so they can upload it to ATLAS.






Organisation resources


An organisation manager can add a resource so it can be available to use for any workspace manager in:


  • any region
  • any workspace



To add:

  1. From the ATLAS dashboard, click the Manage [installation] button.


  2. Click the Resources tab.
  3. Click Make a new resource available.


  4. Choose where the resource is located - my assets, my templates or my workbooks.
  5. Click Select item.



The resource will be available to all workspace managers in the Other ATLAS Resources tab when adding a new resource to a workspace.







Region resources


A region manager can add a resource so it can be available to use for any workspace manager in:


  • any workspace in the same region



To add:

  1. From the ATLAS dashboard, click the region title from My regions.


  2. Click the Resources tab.
  3. Click Make a new resource available.
  4. Choose the location of the resource - my assets, my templates or my workbooks.
  5. Scroll to the resource and click Select item.



The resource will be available to workspace managers in the Other ATLAS Resources tab when adding a new resource to a workspace.







Share via workspace


Each region has a setting to allow workspace managers to make their resources available to other workspace managers.



To enable:

  1. From the ATLAS dashboard, click the region title from My regions.
  2. Click the Settings tab.
  3. In make resources available, click Yes
  4. Click Save.



Now, when any workspace manager adds a resource to a workspace, they will have an additional option to allow their resource to be used by other workspace managers in the same region.




The workspace manager does not need to be a region manager to make a resource available to others.
