A custom template can be added to PebblePocket and designed to capture a structured response for a specific course. Restrictions apply to blocks and properties.
Build a PebblePocket template
A custom template to be used on PebblePocket is built the same way as a standard one-page template resource. The same resource can be used by learners on both PebblePocket and Pebble+, if required.
When used on PebblePocket, restrictions apply to the content blocks and properties used via the app.
When the asset is sent to the Asset Store and used in Pebble+, or used only in Pebble+, all blocks and properties function as normal.

The following restrictions apply to content blocks and properties when a custom template is made available on PebblePocket for learners to access.

Distribute a template
With the template built, it can be added to PebblePocket. The resource owner must obtain the template's build ID and provide this to the PebblePad Helpdesk.
To request:
- From the Resource Store, click the resource title and choose Edit resource.
- In the browser address, copy the whole URL - it should include /builder/
- Create a ticket with the PebblePad helpdesk (local Support Agent only)

Filter template visibility
By default, a template added to PebblePocket is visible to all users within your institution.
To better control access, upon request, filtering can be enabled by the PebblePad Helpdesk. This restricts a template's visibility based on workspace enrolments.
To enable:
- the template must be published to PebblePocket (actioned by PebblePad Helpdesk)
- the template must be added to a workspace as a resource (actioned by workspace manager)
- learners must be enrolled to the workspace (actioned by workspace manager)
The template will only be visible to learners enrolled to this workspace. The same template can be added to additional workspaces to be visible to those enrolled learners.
To control the visibility of the template:
- Temporarily hide the panel on the workspace's resources page.
- Delete the template from the workspace's resources page.
Edit a template
Changes can be made to a template in the usual way. The same caution and restrictions apply where the template is published and has asset responses.
Saved edits to the template will instantly update on PebblePocket.
