A member submission assignment requires a learner to submit one or more assets to an ATLAS workspace for an assessor to be able to give feedback and a grade.
Settings overview
When creating a new assignment, these setting options are available to configure to your assessment requirements:
This guide is for a member submission assignment - which requires learners to share one or more assets with ATLAS to receive assessment.
For an explanation of all options, read the work with assignments guide.
This sets how an assessor will view submissions to give feedback and assessment.
- Submission Viewer 2 - default option, recommended
- Submission Viewer - legacy option, not recommended
A submitted asset will remain continuously synchronised with the learner's asset version in Pebble+, unless one of the following is applied:
- Lock on submission - the learner's asset locks, preventing any further changes.
- Copy on submission - a duplicate 'as-is' version is submitted.
- Modify deadline - changes made in Pebble+ stop when the date is reached.
Read the assessor's guide to working with submissions.
The assignment has four dates to set:
- Submit from - no submissions can be shared before this date is reached.
- Submit after - no submissions can be shared after this date is reached (unless below).
- Mark as late - a submission can be shared, but will be marked as late.
- Modify until - submitted work will synchronise changes until date is reached.
Read the assessor's guide to working with extensions.
The number of assets each learner is permitted to submit to the assignment can be controlled.
- Unlimited - each learner can submit any quantity of assets.
- 1 - default option
- 2-10 - each learner can only submit to the specified number
Set from where a learner can submit, and the type of file they can share:
- Allow from Pebble+ - enables share with ATLAS option for learners. You can also restrict the asset type allowed, if required.
- Allow auto-submit - for when a resource should share with ATLAS on creation.
- Allow direct uploads - bypass Pebble+ and upload directly within ATLAS.
Read the learner's guide to completing an assignment.
By default, when a learner shares with ATLAS they have the option to remove their asset anytime afterwards. If necessary, it is possible to prevent learners from doing this.
Read the workspace manager's guide to managing workspace submissions.
