Manage an assessor submission assignment

An assessor submission assignment requires an assessor to generate and complete a feedback template to assess an observation or presentation by a learner.






Settings overview


When creating a new assignment, these setting options are available to configure to your assessment requirements:




1. Assignment type

This guide is for an assessor submission assignment - which does not require learners to share assets with ATLAS, but instead an assessor will generate the asset to provide assessment.

2. Submission Viewer

This sets how an assessor will view submissions to give feedback and assessment.


  • Submission Viewer 2 - default option, recommended
  • Submission Viewer - legacy option, not recommended
3. Assessment template

A template or workbook resource must be added for the assessor to use. They generate the submission and release the asset to the learner when it is complete.


The resource must:


An assessor will be limited to one submission per learner. If multiple submissions are required, use a combined submission assignment.

Set-up an assignment


A workspace always contains one assignment, created during set-up. The settings can be adjusted to meet your requirements.

 


To set-up:

  1. In the workspace, click Management.
  2. Click Assignment from the sub menu.
  3. Choose Assessor submissions from the type options
  4. Choose Submission Viewer 2.
  5. Search for a template and click Select item
  6. Click Save.

Add multiple assignments


A workspace can contain an unlimited number of assignments. 




To add:

  1. In the workspace, click Management.
  2. Click Assignment from the sub menu.
  3. Click the Use multiple assignment button.

  4. Give the first, existing, assignment a title (default as Assignment #1)
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Complete the assignment set-up page as before.
  7. Click Save.
