The workspace manager can set-up an ATLAS assignment to integrate with a Canvas course and provide learners access to Pebble+ tools and templates to use.
About PebblePad and Canvas
When a PebblePad assignment is incorporated into a Canvas course, it provides:
- learners - access to Pebble+ creative tools and workbooks and templates.
- assessors - access to ATLAS assessment tools.
When the two platforms are connected at a local level, Canvas course to ATLAS workspace, it sets-up:
- Single Sign-On - direct access from Canvas into PebblePad.
- enrolments - students/members, instructors/managers.
- groups - into workspace sets.
- grade sync - push from the workspace into course grade centre.
The Canvas course roster will synchronise to the ATLAS workspace with these roles:
Canvas course role | ATLAS workspace role |
---|---|
Student | Member |
Teacher | Manager (Lead Tutor) |
Course Designer | Manager (Lead Tutor) |
Teaching Assistant | Manager (Tutor) |
Observer | Manager (Moderator) |
Role recognition
When the assignment link is clicked by a Student (learner) in Canvas, it can either:
- Open Pebble+ onto the dashboard, or,
- Open Pebble+ and directly into a selected template or workbook, or,
- Open Pebble+, directing into a selected template or workbook, with auto submit enabled.
When the assignment link is clicked by an Instructor (assessor/manager) in Canvas, it:
